Stello was born in aerospace and ordnance — where a single out-of-spec part grounds a fleet or fails a test. When we entered life science and chromatography thirty years ago, we brought that same unforgiving quality discipline with us.

The chromatography industry wasn't used to our pricing, our delivery performance, or our quality. They are now.

Our own quality management system. It organizes requirements, tracks calibration and recurring obligations, runs SCAR and corrective-action workflows, and ties customer-specific requirements to objective evidence.

Five decades, three industries.

Founded in 1974 as an aerospace precision shop, Stello spent its first two decades earning its reputation on flight-critical work — learning a discipline that would define everything to come.

In the mid-1990s, when defense cycles tightened, we entered life science manufacturing. The fit was immediate: the industry wasn't used to our pricing, our deliveries, or our quality. Chromatography hardware — now a flagship within our life science work — followed shortly after.

Today, led by Ken Gallagher — president for more than forty years — we serve all three industries from four buildings on one Long Beach block, with more than thirty associates and the quality system that started it all.
